If you are even giving the faintest consideration to using iPage as your hosting service, think again. By default, they have server-side caching turned on. What this means for a developer is that any changes you make to your website will not be visible to you for potentially HOURS! No matter that you changed JUST ONE character.

They purport to have a set of controls where you can turn off caching, but the change you make to the page purportedly controlling caching will require up to 24 hours to take effect!

And their support can take hours to respond to your requests for help — they don’t understand that the internet doesn’t have holidays or weekends.

Just say “no” to iPage. Don’t walk – RUN the other way!
